Automated Guided Vehicle Definition

Automated Guided Vehicles or AGVs for short are driverless, electric motor vehicles, with a programming capability of path selection, destination, collision avoidance, and destination. AGVs offer advantages in the field of logistics systems by handling material flows automatically.

AGV robots are often used to transport heavy components within a warehouse. There are different types of AGV robots, but the overall goal with them is to create a better, safer, and smoother material handling in a facility.
